GSS SUPERSTAR OF THE MONTH – JULY 2020

We are delighted to announce that our superstar for July 2020 is Protection & Drugs Detection Dog Handler, Stewart Tordoff. Stewart’s performance is being celebrated for his commitment to our value of Striving for Excellence.

Currently deployed for us at Birmingham Bullring & Grand Central Shopping Centre, over the last couple years, Stewart has represented us at a wide variety of  locations in both a protection and drug detection dog capacity.

On several occasions, Stewart and his dogs have been requested to support our Bullring Security colleagues and the West Midlands Police for a joint operation, to deter and detect drug use and dealing in and around the city centre. The aptitude of both Stewart and his dogs were plainly evident in the number of substance confiscations and arrests made during these operations. We have received extremely positive feedback from both centre security management and even got a mention on the West Midlands Police social media feeds! This award is also recognition for all of Stewart’s work for us over the last couple of years, who is seen by our whole team as a credit to our business and the dog handling profession.

The GSS Superstar Award has become an integral agenda item of our Monthly Senior Management Meetings, during which each member of our senior team puts forward a case for nomination. While the debate is constructive (and usually fun), the final selection is never (usually!) easy, as there are always award-worthy examples of our team members exceeding the standards expected of them. So, while we can only issue one award each month, we want to sincerely thank all members of our team for their continued support and hard work for our valued clients.
