JULY 2017 RECRUITMENT UPDATE…
June and July have seen a renewed and concerted push on recruitment as we aim to accommodate the increase in requests for our specialist services from clients, existing and new.
Working closely with all of our strategic partners (big shout out of thanks to you all – you know who you are!), we have seen a huge rise in application numbers, which pleasingly, have been mostly compliant. Our Operations & Recruitment team have been engaging organisations within close proximity to our client sites in an effort to bolster application numbers from groups sometimes overlooked by traditional security industry recruitment efforts.
We would like to extend special thanks to Cordant Security who accommodated our Business Development Manager, Kevin Wootton, at their dedicated recruitment centre in Solihull in July, to learn about their processes and pick up best practice. The session was hugely beneficial with some practices already being adopted by us and technology being auditioned.
The weeks ahead will see us presenting our career opportunities to a range of field-based recruiters and making further investments in the advertising, promotional material, technology and personnel to ensure that will ensure continue to deliver on our ability to respond to clients when they need us most.
Related to that and in an update to our last recruitment listing article, we are delighted to announce that we have successfully recruited a Business Administrator to provide support to a number of key functions within our business. Kelly Twist, joined us mid-august to begin an extensive induction period. One of Kelly’s key functions within our business will be to provide high-quality support to our recruitment department, drawing on her already considerable experience in this area.

We would also like give a special mention to our Operations Director – Gary Malloy who in solidarity with our client Warner Bros elected to compete in the AJ Bell London Triathlon on the 22nd July 2017. With a minimum of triathlon training (though Gary can be spotted most weekends moseying around Rutland Waters on his cycle), Gary finished in a very respectable 2hr 04mins – though word has it, saved his fastest pace for the final leg – the finish line to the pub!
