GSS OPERATIONS AND RECRUITMENT UPDATE – APRIL 2017

April was another eventful month across all levels of our business. Though bound to the usual confidentiality in terms of our protection and detection dogs handling and security operations and business development outputs – we can announce that our client contract KPI scores have been maintained at an average of +95% across our client base and after a quiet month in March from a recruitment perspective (put down to a general slow-down in applications received by all employers), things have picked up significantly, We have managed to recruit a glut of new staff for our north-west based key client accounts.

April, saw the successful completion of another NASDU GP Level 2 training course at our partner Malpeet K9 Academy, with all new graduates in the process of being on-boarded to join our team. There are now regular monthly courses now scheduled due to the high velocity of applications we are receiving for this training programme.

As well as our usual long-standing requirement for Protection and Detection Dog Handlers and Security Concierge, we are still inviting applications for an Accounts Assistant and Administrative Apprentice to join our Head Office Team. Don’t forget we pay £100 for any recruitment referrals that lead to successful employment!

We are continuing to build up a network of approved canine trainers to conduct initial handler assessments and continuation training across the UK. We especially want to hear from any trainers based in the North West/Cheshire area – careers@global-support.org

We have secured the usual regular stream of ad-hoc canine and special operations assignments including several high profile events across the summer ranging from renowned music festivals to movie premieres’. In addition to this, we have secured an exciting long term on-call opportunity in partnership with a Tier 1 FM Operator to provide canine services in high-risk sites across London and have supported several of our clients with their bids by specifying in our canine services in support of them.

In another tremendously exciting development, April has also seen us complete an extensive process to identify, develop and implement a cutting-edge incident and actionable intelligence reporting system, that over the next few months will be offered to all clients and rolled out to all staff members…so watch this space!
