ELCAS scheme.

To commence work as a General Purpose Dog Handler – you will be required to hold a valid SIA Licence. If you do not currently hold a valid SIA licence – we have a partner organisation who can provide the training necessary for you to complete in order to successfully apply for a licence.

Successful Candidates:

Candidates who successfully complete our course will receive an external accreditation at Level 3 from the Open College Network (Reaseheath) or NASDU Level 2 accreditation (Malpeet K9) and will be guaranteed an interview to explore employment opportunities within our company.

If you are successful in gaining employment with us, our Canine Team will work to support you through continuous training, advice and equipment support; and you will be provided with a number of training shifts on GSS sites (some accompanied) until ready to commence full-time deployment. We can also offer advice on buying a canine (also ask if we have any available for loan or sale) as owning your own suitable canine is another pre-requisite of employment in this field.

General Purpose Dog Handlers can then go on to realistically earn between £24k-£30k per year.
