About the Role:

While we are well-positioned to help shape our industry through passionately raising standards, our continued success depends on our ability to delight our clients. 

As such, a really exciting opportunity for an experienced Head of Operations has arisen within our business. This role is key to ensuring seamless operational service delivery across our client portfolio. 

It is essential that you have experience of the security or facilities management marketplace and bring with you a strong attitude to governance and compliance, ensuring all industry standards to which we adhere are maintained.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading and managing our operations team to continually improve performance standards while supporting customer relations and ensuring service delivery is safe, reliable and meets the expectations of our clients
  • Developing strong and trusted relationships with the security management team(s) and client point of contact at each client site. 
  • Evaluating and analysing operational performance through the preparation and submission of monthly KPI reports 
  • Developing operational plans to improve business efficiencies and productivity 

How we will help you to succeed:

During your first few weeks with us, you will work closely with members of both our senior management and operations teams to get a clear understanding of our client portfolio and our operational procedures and systems.

Your induction will include existing client contract familiarisation, spending time with the GSS head office team that will support you, and of course meeting some of the field based team members (including those with four legs!). 

We will also give you all of the equipment you need to work safely and optimally from your home environment. 

We’ll be excited if you are/have:

  • A proven track record of operations management in the private security sector is mandatory 
  • Comfortable managing a revolving portfolio of tasks across multiple disciplines, contracts and locations 
  • Strong leadership and motivational capabilities 
  • An inextinguishable passion for problem-solving and raising standards
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) including high-level negotiation skills 
  • The right to work in the UK, and a 5-year checkable work history
  • A current full U.K. driving licence (with a maximum of six penalty points)
