As most businesses will attest, it’s been another monumental year. In amongst all of the trials and tribulations resulting from the pandemic, our business has scored a notable success.
We were absolutely delighted to learn, through our attendance at the EMCOR UK Supplier Briefing Event 2022, that we had been recognised via their supply chain partner awards as the “Safe and Secure” category award winner for 2021.
The award is recognition for our collaboration with the EMCOR UK team responsible for the mobilisation, deployment and demobilisation of a large COVID testing laboratory facility at the height of the pandemic.
Both GSS and EMCOR delivered a project that demanded a great deal of agility and sensitivity, given the time frame for the mobilisation phase and the inherent risks involved. A GSS team consisting of a contract supervisor and a team of security officers were selected and assigned to the facility for the length of the engagement, with guidance and support provided through both the mobilisation and demobilisation phases by our senior management and onsite teams.
GSS wishes to offer special thanks to GSS’s Jake Halliday for his tremendous onsite contract supervision (Jake is now a serving Metropolitan Police officer), and to EMCOR’s contract team for working so closely with us throughout the duration of this project. The efficiency with which the project was scoped, mobilised, executed and demobilised was testimony to the efforts of all involved.
