What's the difference between surveillance and investigation?
Surveillance is the discreet observation of a subject to record what happens; investigation is the wider process of gathering and verifying facts — including surveillance, research, and interviews — to answer a specific question.
Is private surveillance legal in the UK?
Yes, when it is done lawfully and proportionately. There is currently no SIA licence for private investigators, so surveillance must be carried out in line with data-protection law and for a legitimate purpose. We only take on work with a lawful basis.
Will the evidence stand up in court?
We capture continuous, time-stamped evidence and document the methods used, so findings are presented in a clear, factual report suitable for legal or HR proceedings.
Do you investigate corporate and insurance matters?
Yes — corporate investigations, insurance and injury claims, due diligence, theft and fraud, and threat assessments are all common instructions.
Will the subject know they're being watched?
No. Surveillance is covert by design — discreet operatives and vehicles mean the subject carries on as normal, which is what produces reliable evidence.
