MORE CANIDIDATES COMPLETE PROFESSIONAL WORKING DOG HANDLER COURSE

Reaseheath College and GSS recently delivered the Professional Working Dog Handler Course, which is the first externally accredited course for dog handling for general protection and detection work in the UK.

The course is available for candidates both with and without previous experience but with a passion for working with dogs in the private sector security industry.

Four candidates successfully completed the course in early November and have now developed their knowledge and practical skills to ensure they are fully equipped to work safely and legally within the industry.

This two week, predominantly practical, course provides a great introduction for general work within the private sector security industry and consists of three units:

Dog Handling Law and Ethics

Canine Training, Behaviour and Welfare

Handling a General Purpose Security Dog

Well done to Karen, Stephanie, Mark and Chloe on completing the course – from the whole team at GSS!

Regrettably, we are now fully subscribed for the General Purpose NASDU Level 2 Course we are undertaking in partnership with Malpeet K9 Academy  in South Wales in December. More on this exciting partnership in next month’s newsletter!
