GSS SUPERSTAR OF THE MONTH – APRIL 2020

We are delighted to announce that our superstar of the month for April is awarded to…Bob Burgess at TT Games.

Towards the end of March this year, Bob transferred over to TT Games in Cheshire from another contract, all at short notice as a result of Covid-19 related issues.  As always, Bob went about his business with a smile on his face and a hunger to learn new things, and was nominated for the award for truly living the company values of Reliability and Striving for excellence. 

In April, Bob suffered a bereavement of a very close relative.  He demonstrated incredible determination and commitment towards his duties at TT Games, tremendous communication with the head office and management team at GSS, and showed unbelievable personal strength and resolve to get through a very difficult time.  Matt Crofts, National Operations Director met Bob at TT Games to present the award, observing the appropriate distancing measures with a virtual handshake!! 

Matt said, “Bob has been a critical part of our core contract and special events team for nearly two years now.  We knew that Bob was going to be a great match for TT Games when we called upon him at really short notice.  Of course we were desperately sad to hear his news in April, but incredibly proud of the way in which he managed all of the competing challenges he was faced with”.

The GSS Superstar Award has become an integral agenda item of our Monthly Senior Management Meetings, during which each member of our senior team puts forward a case for nomination. While the debate is constructive (and usually fun), the final selection is never (usually!) easy, as there are always award-worthy examples of our team members exceeding the standards expected of them. So, while we can only issue one award each month, we want to sincerely thank all members of our team for their continued support and hard work for our valued clients.
