GSS SUPERSTAR OF THE MONTH – AUGUST 22

We are delighted to announce that the GSS Superstar of the Month award for August 2022 goes to Detection Dog Handler – Hannah Keenan.

Going ‘above and beyond’ is never an expectation but happens with remarkable regularity when it comes to Team GSS. For this particular month’s award winner – the ‘above and beyond’ envelope was very firmly pushed. In our hour of need, Hannah agreed to essentially put her life on hold and agreed to extend her support of one of our central London-based assignments, over several weeks. The most astounding aspect of Hannah’s commitment to our cause is the fact that she resides in Scotland – some 400 miles from our client site! After much (and swift!) logistical planning including sourcing dog-friendly hotel accommodation, Hannah arrived in London and delivered service with aplomb – drawing universal praise from both our client and our head office team.

Commenting on the award Matt Crofts – National Operations Director said “Hannah’s commitment to our cause on this occasion made her nomination for this award a no-brainer for our senior management team – in fact, I believe it was a unanimous nomination. Hannah’s actions speak for themselves. Despite the long journey and time away from home, she delivered service with consummate professionalism and always with a smile. A truly deserving recipient of this month’s award whom we’re looking forward to continuing to working with in years ahead.”

The GSS Superstar Award has become an integral agenda item of our monthly senior management meetings, during which each member of our senior team puts forward a case for nomination. While the debate is constructive and usually fun, the final selection is never (usually!) easy, as there are always award-worthy examples of our team members exceeding the standards expected of them. So, while we can only issue one award each month, we want to sincerely thank all members of our team for their continued support and hard work for our valued clients.
