GLOBAL SUPPORT SERVICES HAS ANOTHER FIELD DAY 2017

It was our great pleasure to be asked back again to conduct drug detection dog work by the promoters of Field Day Festival 2017 – though this year we had the added pleasure of conducting the secondary search function also, which included the Mighty Hoopla Festival the following day.

Managing an operation of this type, that saw 40,000+ people arrive at the festival site in the space of a few hours, presents all sort of challenges, not least the accuracy of our dog teams ensuring a steady flow of festival-goers were bought to the search tent throughout the day.

Despite the hot weather, all GSS dogs and humans, performed brilliantly with everyone from our MD and Business Development Manager, to our search officers operations team, administrators, our Police Liaison and the Event Promoters reporting a great day – with a substantial amount of illicit substance confiscated.

Field Day returned for a 11th edition bringing together many of London’s alternative concert and club promoters (Eat Your Own Ears, Bugged Out!, Bleed, Lanzarote) to produce a day of music, dancing and maximum hoopla set in London’s heartland at Victoria Park for one day Saturday 3rd June 2017. Music is the main driver but it also aims to have the charm of a village fete. There were multiple music stages and fete activities with a twist.
