A WARM WELCOME AND A BIG THANK YOU…

With the summer having disappeared over the horizon (did it appear at all?) and eyes now turned firmly towards the impending winter and the usual ‘peak’ period for lot of our clients, I wanted to pause to welcome some of our latest recruits and bring you up to speed with a few more happenings…

We have been busy bolstering the massed ranks of Team GSS over the last few months and would like to say a very warm welcome to the many staff who have on-boarded with us whether on a full or part time basis since June (you know who you are!).

We have introduced a new onboarding questionnaire for all new recruits which should be received on or around the six week mark of probation/trial period. Thank you for those who have completed this already; your responses will help us to keep our onboarding process as efficient and effective as possible.

Outside the work we have been doing behind the scenes on our management team restructure, the operational wheels of the business have kept on turning! The positive effect of the continued great work our teams are doing has seen spike in interest from new clients brought about by referrals from our existing clients, which is always the most gratifying way to be introduced to clients! As a consequence of this, we will be re-doubling our recruitment efforts over the coming months, re-introducing employee referral programs and aligning ourselves with the best dog handler training and recruitment technology partners.

Our recent ACS Audit was a great success but we were also recently audited by two of our largest clients.  Both, we are pleased to say, commented very positively about our on-going work for them, providing constructive feedback that we will use to continue to strengthen and embed our relationships with these valued clients into next year and beyond.

Meanwhile up north, we were recently re-awarded a three-year contract to provide security concierge services for TT Games (a subsidiary of Time Warner). Most pleasing, our client did not deem it necessary to go out to tender for the contract. Matt Crofts – National Operations Director said ‘I couldn’t be more pleased with this as it’s a really tangible example of our operational teams getting completely behind our vision to become ‘supplier of choice – and of our client really buying into our continued efforts to provide the best possible service”.

On a personal note, I would like to offer my deepest gratitude to all of our field based team members and clients across our southern region. It has been an absolute pleasure (and eye-opener) to work alongside you all over the last 18 months. In the processI have developed an intrinsic appreciation for what you do on a daily basis. It is this understanding that I am confident will stand me in good stead as I embark on my latest challenge of finding our next employee superstars and valued clients – helping our company achieve it’s growth aspirations for 2020 and beyond.

With my warmest wishes, Kevin Wootton
