GSS ADDS MORE UNIFORMED SERVICES EXPERTISE TO ITS OPERATIONS TEAM…

We have some (more!) great news to share…

It is with pleasure that we announce that Jason Lennox and Mike Dermody have joined our team as Operations Managers – bolstering our already ex-uniform services-led head office team. 

Jason Lennox – Jason (pictured above right) has 30 years experience of in policing, 27 years of which were spent as a member of the  Cheshire constabulary dog section. Jason will provide first-class contract management and canine detection services expertise, focussed on our venues and events portfolio. Jason has worked with dogs of all specialisms including general-purpose, firearms support, drugs, cash, weapons and explosives. He’s also qualified as an instructor, teaching and mentoring dog handlers for specialist search duties.

Away from work, Jason is an accomplished skydiver – which is a skill we hope he will never have to utilise in the course of his duties for GSS, though you never know….

Mike Dermody – Mike served with both Greater Manchester Police and British Transport Police in a career spanning over 27 years. During that time Mike worked in a variety of divisions including the dog section, serious crime, counter-terrorism and intelligence units. Mike has also developed and implemented a number of training and mentoring initiatives, some of which were adopted force-wide. Prior to policing, Mike enjoyed a distinguished military career having spent 10 years with the Army Veterinary Corps as a dog trainer.

Outside of work, Mike provides voluntary support to both the North-West Ambulance Service and the National Search Dog and Rescue Service. Mike will be providing contract management support focussed on many of our key long-term protection dogs and guarding assignments.

Both Jason and Mike bring with them significant operations management expertise. They’re organised, diligent and pragmatic in their approach to operations management and we’re really looking forward to this applied to the work we do.
